Where it all started...
Clearwater Cabins (then known as Clearwater Chalets) were established in 1997 to accommodate hikers and nature lovers.
Clearwater Trail Centre, established in 2003, grew out of the passion for mountain biking and the need for more natural experiences in our area.
In 2004, Clearwater created the gorge viewing deck as a public attraction and means to promote the Umtamvuna Nature Reserve and allow visitors to enjoy the unsurpassable views of the river, gorge and coastline, while experiencing the natural grasslands without having to hike to this vantage point.
Visitors have been coming to Clearwater for over 10 years to enjoy the tranquility and privacy and today we still continue to develop and encourage our visitors to make time for their natural world and establish a healthy way of life.

Diarise Sunday 29th August and join us for a "Walking 4 Conservation" social walk on our 10km trail to raise awareness and funds for our local conservancy.

During the week out of season we still remain open daily to the public and even when the trail shop is not open, riders can head off on the trails. All we ask is that you study the map and take the emergency contact number down before you head off. An honesty pay point has been provided for the trail permit fees to be popped into. We thank our trail users for their support and respect for the trails so far.
